EGON ZIPPEL Blind Acrylic and marker pen on paper
BLIND (ANGST)
1989
Acrylic and marker pen on paper
36" x 48", 92 x 122 cm

I term these drawings “blind” as they were made with a marker, with my eyes closed. To further complicate matters, I did not draw straight lines, but deviated into ornamentally distorted lines. The subsequent filling of the shapes with black paint was accomplished afterwards, with eyes open.
