...on the floor/ground because that's how/where most of these bikes end up. I really wonder how on earth these bikes became so twisted, tangled and mangled... is there someone going around doing it on purpose?

With "BROKEN HORIZON", we see fractured horizons in a seemingly never-ending stream of combinations, with an occasional moment of harmony when the images match and create a very short-lived temporary perfect horizon.
This projection uses three Kodak carousel slide projectors with 80 slides each (there are 80 x 80 x 80 = 512,000 possible slide combinations for this triptych, because the projectors are NOT synchronized).
The slides are the leftovers from 35mm slide film developing (that's why once in a while a "ghost image" shows up). Usually these leftovers got thrown away, but I always liked and kept them till I might have an idea how to use them – which became eventually the “BROKEN HORIZON” projection.

Be patient, the images stay for quite a while. The whole "movie" lasts 2.5 hours. I actually made it to be a projection on the wall, running in the background of a show I had.
